  • Client Services - Remit's Client Services Department is staffed with a well-trained team of knowledgeable representatives ready to assist you during normal business hours.
     
  • Client Access Web - At the touch of a few buttons, you have access to the accounts you have placed with us. You can look up account information, edit accounts, upload/download files, run reports, report payments, cancel/return accounts and much more. All from any PC with Internet access!!
     
  • Customized Reports - Remit utilizes a very flexible collection software package entitled Debt$Net. This program allows our staff to access your account data via a variety of parameters and enables the development of many different types of standard and specialized reports based on client need.
     
  • Electronic Placements - Remit utilizes the latest data transfer technology which allows our clients to easily place accounts into collection via disk, 128-bit encrypted electronic file transfer, or through our client access web program.
     
  • Credit Bureau Reporting - Remit Corporation maintains the ability to report all accounts to the credit bureaus on a monthly basis. On the 15th of each month a computer report is generated and forwarded electronically to all four national credit reporting agencies; Experian, Equifax, Transunion and Innovis.  Each month new accounts and payment updates are provided to these agencies. There are no fees assessed for this service.
     
  • Flexible Fee Structure - Remit Corporation's fee structure is contingency based: No Collection'No Fee. We charge a percentage of all monies recovered for our clients depending on age, balance and disposition variables.

Legal Facilitation
Remit maintains an active legal forwarding department. Each year tens of thousands of dollars are recovered for clients through the implementation of the legal process. If approved by our clients, we will regularly review accounts for litigation preparation, including obtaining information as to an individual's available assets.

  • National Collection Attorney Network - We have a vast network of experienced collection attorneys throughout the United States who we use to efficiently handle litigation in any court in the country.
     
  • Right of Assignment - Under Pennsylvania 'right of assignment' law, our clients can assign the rights to an account to Remit Corporation.  This allows us to file litigation in our own name and to manage the day-to-day aspects of collection litigation.
     
  • Judgment Remedies & Executions - After we have obtained a court judgment we utilize all avenues allowed by law to enforce the judgment to obtain payment.  Methods of enforcement include a levy and sheriff's sale of personal belongings, a lien on real estate, seizure of bank account funds and possible garnishment of wages on rental accounts within the state.
     
  • Legal Tracking - Our staff monitors the progress of each account through the litigation process to ensure that every case is handled in a timely and efficient manner.

One of the leading reasons that accounts receivable go uncollected is due to the loss of good demographic information on the customer. Bad addresses and disconnected phone numbers prohibit the collector from communicating with the consumer.  These accounts are called skips.  Skiptracing is the function of trying to locate missing customers through a variety of methods.

  • Change Of Address Match & Phone Search - This process allows direct access into the various change of address databases and corresponding Directory Assistance databases to conduct address and phone verifications and searches to obtain new demographic information.
     
  • Clean Sweep - Remit Corporation's innovative Clean Sweep process electronically compares all outgoing collection letter addresses against change of address databases to better ensure demographic information is correct prior to mailing letters to the consumer.
     
  • Accurint & LexisNexis Web-Based Skiptracing Tools - Remit Corporation's skip tracing department utilizes a variety of powerful web-based tools to electronically search various government databases to locate skip consumers.
     
  • Batching - Remit Corporation's weekly batching procedure streamlines the skiptracing process by allowing large 'batches' of skip accounts to be sent electronically to our vendor for processing. In return, Remit receives electronic information updates that are loaded into our database through an automated process.

Remit Corporation's Client Voice Outsourcing capabilities can be utilized for many types of telephone campaigns such as collections, telemarketing, reminders, political, etc.

  • Customer Messaging - Remit Corporation's CT Center allows the option of recording completely interactive, customized messaging in your own voice and style.
     
  • IVR (Interactive Voice Response) - IVR or Interactive Voice Response is a telephony technology that allows a consumer to use a touch-tone telephone to interact with a database. IVR technology requires no human interaction over the telephone.

Interact Training & Development
Through Remit's subsidiary, Interact Training and Development, owners Harry A. Strausser III and Dwayne J. Heisler have received national acclaim for their educational programs offered to collection industry firms. Harry is active in both the Pennsylvania Collectors Association and ACA International in which he is a Certified Instructor. He has instructed over 180 seminars for the ACA. At the 1993 International Conference in San Antonio, Texas he was named "Instructor of the Year" for that organization and is a member of the International Fellowship of Certified Collection Executives. Harry currently serves as Immediate Past President of ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals.
